I work on Sagiliti's Rails-based utility bill management platform alongside a distributed team spread across time zones — shipping features and reviewing pull requests so work keeps moving around the clock.
The situation
Sagiliti turns utility bill complexity into business intelligence for companies with large portfolios of locations — combining bill processing, sustainability reporting, and rate optimization. Every bill is checked for overcharges and rate mismatches, with people reviewing what gets flagged.
What I do
- Build features across the bill lifecycle: getting bills in, auditing them, and exporting them to accounting systems.
- Integrate with accounting and property-management software.
- Improve data quality, matching and standardizing account and address data so every bill lands on the right account.
- Bring data from the company’s warehouse into the app.
- Review pull requests for a team spread across time zones, using my own AI-assisted review setup so overnight work gets feedback quickly — with a person making every call.
