I'm a contract developer for 1905 New Media, a marketing agency — building, rescuing and extending WordPress sites for their clients, and working inside their team's process so the code reads like their own.
The situation
1905 New Media builds websites and campaigns for their clients. When a project needs more development capacity — or a developer who can step in mid-stream — I join their team.
What I do
- Build custom WordPress themes on the agency’s modern stack (Sage, Blade, Bootstrap and ACF page-builder modules), following their conventions exactly.
- Step into projects already underway: a member portal and fixes for an industry association’s site, and a pre-launch online store on a tight deadline.
- Build a new site for a long-established, family-owned construction company, including an animation package on top of the base build.
How it works
The ticket backlog is the contract. I work from the agency’s issues and project boards, raise anything missing with their project managers instead of quietly building or dropping it, and leave every project better documented than I found it.
